The Power of Place: Where land, culture, memory, and story shape design

An evening of conversation with Marion Philpotts-Miller

Marion Philpotts-Miller, ASID, is a partner and principal designer at Philpotts Interiors in Honolulu, Hawaiʻi. A second-generation design leader, she has spent nearly three decades shaping some of Hawaiʻi’s most celebrated residential, hospitality, and commercial environments. Drawing upon a lifelong appreciation for Hawaiian culture, craftsmanship, and refined ‘Island’ living, Marion creates interiors that are timeless, sophisticated, and deeply connected to a sense of place. Her award-winning work has earned recognition from ASID and Interior Design Magazine, while her leadership continues to advance one of Hawaiʻi’s most respected design firms. Known for her collaborative spirit, artistic vision, and commitment to authentic design, Marion remains a leading voice in luxury interior design throughout the Pacific.

This event is 21 and over.
Refreshments and snacks will be served.
All proceeds support the preservation of Liljestrand House.

So incredibly refreshing to see a residence unmolested by unsympathetic ownership. The personal touches, stories and tales from the last 67 years provide an amazing tapestry from which we can appreciate this architectural masterpiece. May the preservation of this house inspire not only its’ preservation but also that of other modernist examples in Hawai`i. Thank you.
