An evening of talk story:
Experiences, reflections, and lessons learned

~

Joe Ferraro co-founded Ferraro Choi in February 1988. Reflecting his expertise in sustainable remote location, science and education facilities, he is the Architect of Record for a number of notable projects, including the University of Hawaii at Manoa’s Information Technology Center and, in Antarctica, the Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station and the Crary Laboratory at McMurdo Station.
Joe achieved recognition as a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects in 2008 for his significant contribution to environmentally sustainable professional practice. He has served as an adjunct advisor and juror for the University of Hawaii School of Architecture and the Honolulu AIA Design Awards program. His work has been featured in The New York Times as well as Hawaii Business, Hawaii Architect, Dwell, Wired, Interiors, Lighting, and Science magazines.
Prior to founding Ferraro Choi, Joe was a Principal and Director of Interior Architecture at the CJS Group Architects from 1982–88. Before moving to Hawaii in 1982, he was Vice-President of Sheridan Associates (formerly Raymond Loewy International) in New York City.
