Audio System

Audio System

One of the requests of Betty and Howard Liljestrand when they began working with Ossipoff was an entertainment center. The entire house was wired for sound and hidden speakers were installed in cabinets, furniture and in alcoves near the ceiling. Central to the audio system was the beautiful “music cabinet” complete with a stackable turntable and storage for their large record collection.

The system was hardwired together and over the years, some of the wiring disintegrated and the record player became inoperable. Thanks to the generosity of architect and Liljestrand Advisory Board member John Ike and his firm, Ike Baker Velten, we were able to restore the audio system. Pueo Audio utilized as many of the old speakers as they could and created a hybrid system using hidden Sonos speakers and a wireless receiver. Some of the new speakers have been placed inside the cabinets where the original speakers used to reside, and some are hidden elsewhere. Music can now be played from a new record player or a very twenty-first century iPad with Spotify!

Next time you visit, you may be greeted by the sound of Hawaiian classics drifting through the house!

Fa-bu-lous! A True tropical gem that awakens all the senses! Thank you for opening it to us.
