Join us at Liljestrand House for an evening of presentation
and conversation with Ken Yeang
Ken Yeang is a Malaysia based architect and ecologist, delivering signature hyper-green architecture, a field he pioneered since 1971. His work is differentiated by an ecosystem-based approach that performs beyond conventional green-rating systems. His work has a visually-distinct verdant green aesthetic that enhances positively it’s locality’s ecology and biodiversity, designed as constructed ecosystems.
The construction and operation of buildings are major contributors to climate change. Based on his research and built projects from more than five decades as a design professional, Yeangʻs talk will discuss a range of strategies that architects and planners can use towards not only reducing the built environmentʻs contribution to global warming but also to actively regenerating natural systems.
