Gutter & Deck Project

Gutter & Deck Project

August saw the completion of our long awaited and much needed gutter and deck project.  There were six areas around the house in which the gutters were pulling away from the roofline and leaking.  We also fixed the deck planks outside of the living room where water leaking from the gutters has caused the wood to rot.  Additionally, we addressed several sections of the roof where the overhang is too far over the gutters, making it difficult to clear out leaves and branches.  It wasn’t easy finding a contractor willing to take this job on! Mahalo to Glenn Mason of Mason Architects for recommending T. Taketa Sheet Metal who then brought on Wave Builders. This project was made possible thanks to the generosity of Liljestrand Foundation Advisory Board member John Ike and his New York and California based architecture firm, Ike Kligerman Barkley.

What a transformative experience to view such an innovative and functional work of art that people happened to live in!
